Beiträge zu dekolonialen und intersektionalen Gegenwarts-Positionen der afrikanischen Diaspora im Diskurs um War und Peace liefern, die ansonsten in schöner Regelmässigkeit ohne eigene Stimme bleiben
Die Black Berlin Biennale wurde 2012 von AFROTAK TV cyberNomads in Ermangelung von Schwarzen dekolonialen Positionen im Kunst und Kulturbetrieb ins Leben gerufen.
2018 fanden vom 29.08. – 31.10. mehr als 20 Performances, Ausstellungen, Podiumsdiskussionen im Rahmen der Black Berlin Biennale statt.
Das Motto 2018 - Anything About Us without Us is Against Us - wurde durch den Kommentar: We need more S_(H)eroes … erweitert.
Neben Kunsthaus KuLe hatten wir mit Berlin Global Village dieses Jahr eine 2. Festival-Location.
Die Black Berlin Biennale wird von der UNESCO Deutschland (Sektion Kultur) gefeatured. Wir waren in der Tageschau und vielen anderen Medien zu sehen.
Seit 2016 ist die Black Berlin Biennale offizielles Projekt der UN-Dekade for People of African Descent. 2016 war das Motto: No Fear of Content – No Amnesty on Genocide.
